Brisa Areli Muñoz
Theatrical Director, Healing Practitioner, Cultural Worker (she / they)
I am a Brooklyn-based director originally from the Rio Grande Valley, and have spent the past 15 years creating in New York City and across the globe. Whether developing original works, curating immersive healing experiences, or crafting interdisciplinary initiatives, I cultivate spaces that honor complexity and foster belonging. My commitment is to create the conditions for justice, healing, and possibility to emerge. Rooted in work across sectors and continents, I bring healing-centered, collaborative approaches to everything I do—because I believe that this methodology can unlock our greatest collective potential.
My magic entails leading people back to themselves and each other. With a mission of liberation, I exist at the intersection of multiple roles in the social change ecosystem (visionary, healer, guide, weaver, storyteller, caregiver, experimenter, builder)—directing through an asset-based lens to attune to the strengths of each project, community, and person.
